Project Goal

Evox Therapeutics is a privately held, Oxford-based biotechnology company focused on improving the natural delivery capabilities of exosomes and developing an entirely new class of therapeutics.

Utilising their DeliverEX TM platform, Evox Therapeutics are engineering exosomes to deliver protein and nucleic acid-based therapeutics to treat life-threatening rare diseases.

The popular Oxford Business Park property was chosen by this fast-growing life sciences company for a part of their R&D operations.

The project involved the design and conversion of a two-storey office building into offices on the first floor and ground floor CL2 labs.

Skills & Results

Bulb worked with the landlord and the client team in designing the facility including modern office space, R&D labs and small-scale production areas.

The office space includes an open plan design incorporating a range of working styles, as well as a kitchen/break out area. The lab’s bespoke design involved dividing the ground floor into two halves for research and production spaces with common goods-in, utility, liquid Nitrogen storage rooms with external gas storage and waste enclosure.

Externally minor works were undertaken to the building fabric & suitable external enclosures created.

Working collaboratively with the Landlord & tenant team, the specification & design were developed, tendered & delivered on time & to budget.

The detailed design was co-ordinated & approved via the Landlord including infrastructure, enabling works & design of MEP services & gas installations.

Arlington, the Landlord team, and the Evox team both were both delighted with the quality & efficacy of the finished facility.
