Celebrating James Ncube’s Zimbabwe Achievers Awards Nomination
We are proud to share that our Head of Operations, James Ncube, has been nominated for the Professional Excellence category at the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards UK Edition 2026.
This recognition celebrates outstanding leadership and achievement across professional careers, and we are delighted to see James acknowledged among an inspiring group of nominees.
A journey built on resilience and excellence
James has over 24 years of construction experience and has successfully managed multi-million-pound projects, led large teams, and consistently delivered high-quality outcomes.
As Head of Operations, he drives the continuous improvement of operational processes across the business. His leadership enables our delivery teams to achieve consistency, efficiency and sustained excellence, helping ensure we continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
Reflecting on the nomination, James shared that it represents a personal journey that began in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – and is a story shaped by perseverance, ambition and a strong belief in what is possible:
“From growing up in Fairbridge, Bulawayo in Zimbabwe, to leading operations as Head of Operations at Bulb, a successful construction company in the UK, this journey has been built on resilience, hard work and belief in a dream that started at just eight years old. This award isn’t just about me – it represents what’s possible for anyone who dares to dream beyond their circumstances.”
About the awards
The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of Zimbabweans making an impact around the world. Now in its 16th year, the programme has grown into a global platform championing diaspora engagement, skills mobility and youth-focused initiatives, supported by a partnership with the International Organization for Migration.
The 2026 UK Edition will take place on 15–16 May in Birmingham at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre, celebrating excellence across ten award categories.
